You don’t have to travel all day to the Sahara to ride a camel. An official camel designated trail exists in the High Atlas Mountains, just 30 minutes from Kasbah Africa. On this half day activity you’ll ride a camel for 2 hours from Moulay Brahim to old Asni, passing Berber villages and always with a spectacular backdrop of High Atlas peaks.

We work with a reliable camel handler who looks after his camels responsibly and provides experienced camel handlers as local guides. Camels, known as the ‘ships of the desert’ are remarkable animals and offer a relaxing way to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Atlas Mountains. There will be plenty of time for some fun photos and a chance to get to know your camel well!

Camels are sturdy and sure-footed and are equipped with local saddles. Riding helmets are not provided locally. Camel riding is at your own risk and you should decide on the spot if you are happy to undertake the activity. Infants and toddlers can ride with a parent. Older children should ride their own camel. The excursion takes approx. 3-4 hours.
