Mule treks can be arranged from Kasbah Africa with mules hired from nearby villages. Our typical mule trek route takes around 4 hours and follows a circuit from Kasbah Africa to Ouirgane village and its reservoir and back along the Azzaden Valley passing through Berber villages, orchards, olive groves and along the riverbed (depending on seasonal water levels).

Mules are sturdy, sure-footed and equipped with local saddles. A Berber mule handler leads the mules. A local mountain guide also accompanies the trek. Infants and toddlers should ride with a parent. Older children should ride their own mule. Longer or shorter treks can be arranged on request. During the trek we follow centuries-old mule trails that link the Berber communities to their orchards, farmland and trading routes.
