We will start our trip from Kasbah Africa descending down the Azzaden Valley towards Torort village, following an ancient trail that passes through the green fields of almonds, walnuts, and olive groves. These fields are the main source from which Berber villagers make their livings. The fruit trees in these fields are harvested on a seasonal basis. When the crops are all ready for sale, the inhabitants take them to regional weekly Berber traditional markets like Asni and Ijoukak souks.
While heading to Torort village we should see many species of colourful birds in the fields. Arriving in the village we will be able to explore and experience some of the Berbers’ traditional life. Next we head towards Anraz village where a Jewish Synagogue is located. We will stop for a while to discover the synagogue and see the place where Jewish people practise their religious rituals. From Anraz we head up the mountain following an easy road towards Tikhfist village where we will have our lunch with a Berber family.
The head of the household here is very famous and known for his amazing Berber poetry. The family will welcome us with some Moroccan Berber tea while we have a chit-chat together. A typical home-made lunch will then be served to us on the house rooftop from where we can enjoy a stunning view of Kasbah Africa and the Azzaden Valley. Finally we descend the mountain via a huge fruit farm and cross the river to arrive back at Kasbah Africa.
